Case Studies

Lambogenie

www.lambogenie.co.uk

We can provide a service where we can create a separate blog that is dedicated to posting articles related to your business/product or service; this blog will be separate to your website but will have hyperlinks through to relevant pages within your site through words used in the articles.

This process has been completed for many of our sites and we have many social media case studies, one being lambogenie.com, where we have created two car blogs to help promote the website, these car blogs target different aspects of the motor industry.

One solely based on providing informative information and news about new vehicles, events, track days, shows and comparing similar cars and their performances, and one focusing on the care and maintenance of your vehicle, including tutorials, hint and tips on car care in general.

Blogs like this are perfect for giving people general information which, if they find interesting and useful, they will bookmark your blog and this will then lead other individuals to reading and returning to for information.

For example, we wrote an article on wedding car hire and the most wanted wedding cars for that ‘big day’, which was hyperlinked through to Lambogenie – who have a wedding car hire service, so whilst the article had been bookmarked and was appearing for search terms that people were using to find information about wedding car hire, they were then also clicking on the hyperlinks through to Lambogenie, and creating enquiries about the cars available for hire.

Celebricious

www.celebricious.com

Celebricious.com is a blog we created from scratch; we completed the layout design and gave the blog a branding, the categories for the articles, the images which are used on each post and the opportunity to add videos and offer advertising on the website.

When the blog started it had no content on there and there was no traffic to the website, so we built it completely from scratch and started to add daily content using keywords which were usually celebrity names, so when these names are typed into the search engines the more content on the website the higher the chances of the website coming up for information which is being searched.

The celebricious blog’s traffic has grown considerably over the past 6 months and the website is now receiving over 1,000 unique visitors a day, due to us managing the blog and adding daily content.

This is also generating natural back links through other websites linking to the blog, and individuals are also continuously social bookmarking our articles, all these factors contribute to the exposure of the blog online.

As traffic increased to the blog the opportunity for offering affiliate advertising arose, so businesses which believe could sell their products/services on the blog can advertise through the advertising space offered, and obviously as we have the stats to show the traffic going to the site, the potential is there showing how many people can view the advert.

Cosmetic Surgeon

www.cosmeticsurgeon.co.uk

A great way to increase traffic to your website is to add a blog, which you will have to update continuously with relevant and keyword rich content for it to benefit the website, and this is what we did for one of our clients Cosmetic Surgeon.co.uk.

The blog has kept continuous traffic to the site through previous articles, which have been posted, and adding the daily content, as the search engines trawl for new content that they recognise will help people who are using the engines for searching.

The cosmetic surgeon blog is updated every few days, but to make a strong starting point we had to promote the blog to begin the exposure, we did this by creating an interesting article that would attract a lot of attention from all types of individuals to bring traffic to the website.

An interesting article is something that is quirky, informative and relevant to the subject matter, so within the cosmetic surgeon blog we incorporated an article about best and worst celebrity plastic surgery cases, including before and after photographs along with informative descriptions of the ‘work done’ and a ‘was it worth it poll’ to allow readers to interact with the content.

Once the article was complete we delivered the process of social bookmarking and promoted the article online using other blogs, this got it onto the homepage of the bookmarking website ‘Digg’ and traffic still comes from this particular campaign now.

Laptops Direct

www.laptopsdirect.co.uk

Laptops Direct have been one of our most successful clients as we have been creating marketing campaigns and building links through these campaigns for the past two years.

The company already appeared Google number one for many brand name laptops when typed into the search engines, and this is due to our previously completed work, but Laptops Direct wanted to create a viral marketing campaign which would increase brand awareness and get individuals talking about the company and its marketing campaigns both through viral marketing and ‘word-of-mouth’ – due to the marketing campaign being so strong they wanted it to be discussed offline as well as creating a stir online. This is just one of many viral marketing case studies we have undertaken.

After numerous brainstorming sessions we decided to launch a campaign specifically targeting students, we wanted the campaign to involve students as well as attraction their attention. So we released the opportunity for students to earn £5,000… if they had the Laptops Direct logo tattooed onto their forehead, and the response was immense, we had 60 students phone up to offer their foreheads to us in the first couple of days!

The viral marketing campaign consisted of a video of a student having the Laptops Direct logo tattooed onto his forehead; once this video was completed we launched the video through social bookmarking, posted it onto you tube and wrote articles about it that were then posted onto student blogs, to create the highest possible exposure.

We had 70,000 unique visitors to the website in the first day and the video was then promoted even further online through student forums discussing it and even made it into the local press due to the word of mouth spreading offline – this is what happens when a viral marketing campaign becomes so successful, the news of the video even spread onto forums in America.

Some of the press received was negative, and there was not an increase in business for Laptops Direct straight away, but the alongside creating high exposure for the business, the video also created 150 natural back links to the website.

The Laptops Direct viral marketing campaign is a perfect example of how well a good strategy behind your campaign can work, when targeted to the right audience and promoted in the correct places the potential is immense.

www.protouch.co.uk

Protouch are the leading manufacturer and distributor of touch screen equipment in Europe, and due to their understanding of the balance between aesthetics and functionality they are at the forefront of the market, supplying to every industry.

The company is already on page one of Google for many search terms related to touch screen technology and they were interested in supplying daily content to their site regarding news about new products, events and who is using touch screen technology.

We have helped them to do this by offering to supply them with daily content for the news section of their website, which is posted every day without fail and contains information about touch screens technology in all different area’s of business, including tourism/transport, retail, hospitality, local services and banking.

This service allows the Protouch website to tell the search engines that new content is being added each day, and that it is relevant to the keyword search terms that the company targets, so it is perfect for search engine optimization purposes, as well as providing readers with interesting and informative information on a daily basis on the technology Protouch provides.

Room Buddies

www.roombuddies.com

Roombuddies.com is a website which has a database of thousands of rooms available for rent at any one time, this gives all kinds of individuals a great way of finding a room to rent which matches all their specific needs and targets the area they wish to live.

The Roombuddies website has an advanced facility built into the site which allows you to only see rooms which are of interest to you, so you do not have to browse through hundreds of adverts to try and find rooms available that are relevant to you, this is done by a few simple questions to begin with to help you find what you are looking for.

In order to help promote the roombuddies.com, we decided to create a viral marketing campaign including a video and articles based around the topic of ‘housemate pranks’, our target audience for this campaign was students to create awareness of roombuddies.com for students searching for accommodation whilst at college/university.

This involved us researching existing video’s of the best housemate pranks and writing short stories to accompany them, once completed we then used social bookmarking to promote the video/article online which was viewed by thousands through social bookmarking websites – thus driving traffic to the roombuddies.com site giving high exposure.

This method of viral marketing has continued to work for roombuddies.com by driving traffic to the website and our client now appears on Google page one, number five, for the keyword search term ‘pranks’, which is a high traffic keyword which keeps the exposure of the website high, even after the viral marketing campaign is complete.
